MidState Precast Selected for University of Oregon's New Matthew Knight Arena

MidState Precast was awarded a contract to provide structural precast concrete components the University of Oregon's new $200 million dollar sports arena in Eugene, Oregon. The 12,500-seat Matthew Knight Arena will be a state-of-the-art basketball arena for the University of Oregon's men's and women's basketball teams..
MidState Precast is producing 518 pieces of precast including precast stadia, double Ts, walls, stairs and landings for the 380,000-square-foot arena.
The arena will include 9,500 fixed seats with additional "portable" seating risers to accommodate capacities of 11,089 for concerts, 9,736 for ice hockey and 10,831 for basketball, 36 luxury suites located on two levels, concession and merchandise stands and a VIP club.
The project is expected to be complete by the start of the Pacific-10 Conference basketball season in 2011. Project team members in addition to MidState include Hoffman Construction (general contractor) and TVA Architects and Ellerbe Becket (Architects).
